This child is destined for great things. One of Aubrey's favorite things to do is read. I read to her, mom reads to her, Justyna reads to her, grandmas and grandpas read to her. She is so interested in reading, she will read book after book after book. She definately has her favorites, like Humpty Dumpty, Goodnight moon and Goodnight Gorilla. It has gotten to a point that if no one is around to read to her, she will just pick up a book and read to herself. I love the middle when she looks over and looks so proud of herself. "Look, I can read this stuff... it's not that hard." Take a look...

We are practicing for the zoo, so Aubrey knows what animal sounds to make:

Up North in Lutsen
This was a really fun time in the great Minnesota north east. Kelly's side of the family decided to take a trip together up north to Lutsen Minnesota. We picked the perfect time to go up, it rained almost the entire time. However, we did get a little break in the clouds to take a beautiful hike. Thanks to Kelly for getting us off our butts to go see the sights. We also got to take a bike ride and get a little exercise the next morning. Check out the great views from the top of the bluffs. Of course Aubrey got carried/biked around the whole time so we got to test our backpack and new bike carrier. The hills were a little tough for dad, but she liked it pretty much, aside from having to wear the helmet. Aside from the rain, it turned out to be a great time. It is amazing how much Aubrey looks up to her older niece Samantha. The two are attached at the hip any time she is around. They play really well together and it makes for some pretty cute pictures too.
First Trip To Chuck E Cheese
I have lots of fond memories of Chuck E. when I was a kid. I think it actually started out as Showbiz Pizza and later converted. It is funny how not that much has changed since I was there last. You still get tokens, see the animatronics Chuck E. and friends, play skeeball, basketball and whack a mole and eat pizza. The one difference is the ticket counters are all automated and make a funny chomping noise as you feed the tickets in. Although, after the 400th ticket, the chomping can get to be a little annoying. So, Aubrey had a good time, and enjoyed the ride with Chuck E. as well as the big yellow school bus that bounced around. The pizza was surprisingly good, and for $20 a good time was had by all. I even got to spend a few tokens.
Look I have a toy on my head
Great Grandma Marge has fun
I better catch up
So I know it has been a while since the last post. I need to catch up and I intend to do so. I left off with Aubrey and tortellini, so we return to the action with our heroine still soaking up the late summer sun. As you all know, we LOVE Hawaii, so we wanted to make sure our Aubrey is prepared for the vacations in Maui. This looks like a pretty cute start...
